MAGGI Cukup Rasa Challenge

Yesterday we had a direct sales project at Bagan Ajam Wet Market and the challenge of the day is to break the sales record which was previously held by PGEL. My target was to achieve higher then that sales and we brought more for the direct sales. Pretty confident that we're gonna sell all the stock but can only sold most of it from 7-11am. And at the end the Chairman of the wet market came and buy everything from us. Thus we achieved the sales we wanted and now hold the sales record.

Got some pics from Zainal blogs.

CHEERS TEAM PGCHHK !!

Karen Kong....unique singer from Malaysia

Today was a tiring day as i have to wake up early to prepare for direct selling at Bagan Ajam wet market. Was a fun event and we manage to break the sales record of 70ctn Maggi Cukup Rasa. Too bad i didn't bring my camera there and will get the photo from Zainal when his blog is up.

So i had nothing to do today and was browsing through my friendster and found that one of my friend is a fan of this singer call Karen Kong. Thought that she's a chinese singer but to my surprise she a multi lingual singer. She very popular amongst the Malay with her song Nanana Nada Cinta a remake from the song Lalala Love Song from BoA. Her Cinta Hello Kitty is also not bad. But the thing that really amazed me was her command in Bahasa. She also have a few Chinese songs and also English songs. She has got a Malay Album and a Chinese Album on her belt. She's also the first artist to have an online peformance show. Check out Karen Kong friendster. You can find her video clips there.

She fit in so well with the multi cultural Malaysia. Kudos to you Karen.

Happy Week

Was very happy this week and feel that everything i do this week went smoothly. Work was great and sales are flowing in. My dear was as loving as always, making my life more cheerful this week.

Went hiking yesterday with my colleague from the Branch. Reach botanical garden late but manage to finish the hike. Was very tired at first as it's has been months since i last exercise. Feel like my legs are not moving. Then half way through i realize it's because i did not warm up before the hike. But as a fighter like always losing is not in my dictionary. I manage to finish the hike with a slow time but with every step higher i've gain more confident. after the hike i was jogging.

It make me realise something. Never give up in your life when times are hard. You might struggle but better future awaits you in the front. I've been through tough time in term of financial but i can say now that i've climb higher and gain more confident. Soon i'll be jogging and even run.

People grow up whenn they are in hard time. It makes them think. As what Mr.Lim my branch manager says things happen for a reason and it's for a the better as we'll be enlighten and be more careful in planning our life. I truly believe in that. If you have not been through hard time then you won't learn. A lifelong learning.

Meeting also went well today as i feel that i'm contributing to the branch growth. I'm contributing ideas and also give constructive comment. Previously i felt that every idea i gave was shot down like hunters hunting a bird. But now i felt more confident as people believe and trust my comment more. To me this in an achievement more valuable compared to money or rank. Self satisfaction.

It' late now and i'm going to take my nap now......till my next tale.

Is the Govt not doing enough or we're asking too much ?

Many people are condemning the govt for increasing the petrol price. For me i have other view. The question i have is that GOVT NOT DOING ENOUGH OR CIVILIAN ASKING TOO MUCH? Yes i know it's our right to ask from govt. But are we asking too much?

I have my primary and secondary education supported by the govt. I went to University with a loan from the govt and i'm thankful for that. I guess many of us also received the same thing. What else can we ask for?

Maybe i already have the things i want with my own brain and brawn. We can't expect the govt to put food on our table. So for those who's complaining what do you'll want?

Many economy analyst says that increasing the petrol price is the right move to safeguard the govt reserve. Maybe right in term of economy but not in the eyes of the people. Many also compare fuel price from OPEC country with Malaysia. Why? Malaysia is not in OPEC. Why not compare it with Indonesia and Brunei. They are also oil producing country.

OPEC members produce large sum of fuel. But Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia (OPEC Member) not as much. For those complaining try giving suggestion instead. How u can manage it better and not just complaint. What good does it make? it's not helping the country but instead show instability in the country. Why not instead have a dialogue with the govt on how to overcome this global issue.

All we heard from the opposition is complaint on how people will suffer from it. True many will be affected by the petrol price increase. I'm also affected. But think wisely, if we keep on supporting what we're unable to support we will fall. Instead increasing standard of living of the people can help them sustain the petrol increase.

Thai and Indonesia no toll....try see how their people life and how Malaysian excel. It's where the country put their priorities. People or Development for the people. Its how u prefer your lifestlye. Simple Kampung life with not much worries or Urban develop community who always strive to improve themselves.

KIWI-Knowledge In World Issues, as what i mentioned to my salesrep today and what i've learn from AIESEC is very important. We have to understand what is going on with the world and our surrounding before we judge something.

It's up to you to judge.

Petrol Price increase

At last the government announce the petrol price increase yesterday. From RM1.92 / Liter to RM2.70 / Liter. A big jump in the pump as quoted in NST. It was not a surprise for me as I've expected the price increase. It's what the government should have done long time ago.

The surprise i had yesterday was the traffic jam at Penang. I had to take 4 hours to reach home from my office which usually only took 45 mins. Everyone was lining up to fill up the tank. Mine was empty and i had no choice but to fill it up. But gave up trying to fill the tank as the queue was too long.

Usually a full tank will cost me RM80 but now i have to spend nearly RM120 to fill up the tank. As what Sunny says life goes on. We'll just have to sit down and plan our budget again. Do we have a choice? Many have said that we're an fuel export country and should be enjoying the profits. Indonesia is an OPEC member and yet they have increase their petrol price. Nigeria and UAE is also voicing their concern.

Suet Sum called me up to inform me of the price increase but thought it was just a rumours. But when i log in to NST found that it was true. So i sms all my salerep so that they fill up their tank.

My dear call me at the night when i was on my way back and blamed the government for the price hike. To me the person to blame for all this is the one who declare war with Iraq. Not that i support Iraq or the alliance but why go interfere with other people business. And now see what have you'll done. The world is now poorer.

Anyway the govt have tried to maintain the petrol price. It's a global issue and not the govt issue. Spend the money on the poor in this country and those who's in need.

Thruput Closing May2008

Wanted to blog about the closing of May sales but couldn't find the time. Since i have some lunch time today so will blog about that day.

Was very confident that we will hit our target, so that day i was very relax. The challenge is to hit maximum incentive for May 2008 that is 106%. Asked all the salesrep to be back that day so that i can finalise my sales. Surprise waiting for them....heheheh...this is not the first time that we've cook at office but usually it's spaghetti that we cook. This time wanted to cook something different. Went o C4 with John and we bought 30pcs of chicken drumstick. And ask Tung to sponsor some maggi ayam goreng seasoning. Then we start our fried chicken project.

And William came back to help in the cooking also.

The two cook. We had little bit help from Lily and John.

Chicken was nice and it wasn't enough to cater to everyone. So sorry for those who didn't manage to get a bite of the delicious fried chicken.....hehehe...

Anyway thank to Chin Heng team for a 106.2% achievement for May 2008.

insomnia

It's 2.15am now and still awake. Can't sleep......so blogging here. Tomorrow i'll have to close sales for CHHK. Should not be a problem to hit 100%. Tomorrow will be driving down to KL to meet my dear. Am happy thinking about meeting her as i bought a present for her....actually for her birthday 2 weeks ago.

Do not know why was depress today. I've never felt so down before. Just felt lonely and do not know where i'm heading to in my life. Was thinking where am i heading to in the company. Will i stay at CHHK....how long?

Looking at the political scenario in Malaysia. Lot's of people are telling me that there will be another election this September. Why all this is happening? Malaysian has choosen their representative so let it be. If you are not choosen then you'll have to reflect why people are not choosing you. Another election won't help.

Are all this people fighting to serve the Nation?? or for their own self?? MP are suppose to serve the people. To me serving the people doesn't need any post or rank. But all this people are arguing in Parlimen and also in the press just because they want to serve the people. Funny. Why go to that extend?

I really respect the former MB of Terengganu, Idris Jusoh. He's calm in accepting the fact that he is not choosen to lead the state and continuing to serve the people. Kudos to you. And not to forget Dr. Koh , who's such a political gentlemen. Accepting the fact that Gerakan has lost and is working hard to rebuilt Gerakan. This is the way that things should be.

Opposition has gain ground in the political scenario in Malaysia and are suppose to work hard in fulfilling their manifesto and not working on how to pull Barisan MP over to the Pakatan. Be gentlemen. Show to the people of Malaysia that you win because people of Malaysia choose you and not because people are hopping over.

Give our PM a break and let him manage the country. It will be even harder to manage the country with such political scenario. Focus to serve the people and not how u can criticized each other. Your brain and brawn is needed as we're now facing global issues such as fuel price increase and also the food price increase.

Sad to see that the political scenario is getting more coverage in the news rather then the cyclone victims and also the earthquake victims in Myanmar and China. Guess the political Tsunami is more important then lives that are lost and people who need help there.

Is it me or Malaysia facing insomnia??? sleepless nights....

Whatever that is happening, i'm meeting my dear tomorrow.....at least there is some sunshine in my life.

LOVE YOU MY DEAR !!

When will the petrol price increase?

Guess that is the question that is bothering everyone in Malaysia right now. India, Indonesia and China has announce the price increase and when will Malaysia announce it? The Malaysian government is making effort not to increase the petrol price by taking steps like not allowing foreign car to buy fuel in Malaysia.

Very obvious the government does not want to increase the price due to the previous election result. Due to the ego of the government many more will suffer. In my point of view why still continue to subsidize the fuel price when it takes up big portion of the government revenue.

We cannot avoid price increase in many items due to the transportation cost to bring in the item to Malaysia. Price of food has increase and many imported food will follow coz transportation cost has increase. To me it's better the government spend the money to subsidize on food items. It's better to feed the people rather then the machine.

Price of rice has gone up double. And the lower income will suffer. Fuel is not the priority of the lower income category coz most of them do not have cars or motobike. So how can we help the lower income by maintaining the fuel price. They need food not fuel.

For me working in a food company, we've faced numerous price increases. Many of the price increase is due to the increased transportation cost. Raw material which is imported to Malaysia will increase as international crude oil price is not determine by Malaysia. If the exporting country increases the fuel price automatically the raw material price will increase. My point here is that Malaysia alone cannot control the food price hike by controlling the transportation cost in Malaysia itself and people need food more then fuel.

Maintaining the price of rice is more important then maintaining the fuel price. Why not spend the money to subsidize Rice instead. Petronas is making so much profit from the current scenario. Why not reduce export and increase domestic allocation as the crude oil is drilled from Malaysian ground. Cater to the local needs first
