Shin Yee's Wedding dinner

This wedding dinner is an special one i would say. There's lots of dancing throughout the dinner and everytime someone sings there will be people at the dance floor dancing. But most important thing is that all the old friends got to get together to celebrate our friend special occasion. Kinda miss AIESEC and all those meeting in UUM. It's nice to finally get to meet all of my friends and get some update from them. Congrats Shin. And thanks to Seok, Chah and Phui for sharing the pix.

BACK TO SCHOOL

It's been a long time since i last post a entry guess of sharing this with you'll. Been busy with my new work and couldn't find the time to post an entry. On MC today coz my tonsils is troubling me again and guess that i can run away from the surgery. So posting a entry today since i got so much time to rest. Am going back to Penang today and will be attending Shin Yee's Wedding at Taiping tomorrow.

My New JD at KL

All the while i thought i was doing well in Sales and i've understand the whole sales cycle. But now my new JD shows that i'm wrong. I've yet to understand all. My new JD now is much more challenging. Demand and Supply, Factory line operation and also promotion is part of the factor that i have to take into consideration before planning my sales.

I kind of like my new job at KL now coz i'll provide me a better understanding of how to manage a total cycle of sales and also very much on investment. Every meeting and discussion is about P&L. It's unlike the sales that i did at Chin Heng.

My Boss Florance question me about field sales yesterday and i can answer her very well how and what we do at the field but her advice is that i implement my experience at the field to my current job now to enhance THRUPUT. All comes back to the profit for the company.

Am still monitoring CHHK sales at HOU and kind of miss the time where we had chats in between job at the corridor. Will be visiting them more often as we have Sales Convention and Maggi Roadshow in line for next year.

My portfolio will be Sauces and Flavour World. It's small but exciting. How recipe mixes can be blend and pack. Will update you'll more when i have better understanding of my job. Cya.

Technology -ve side

Many out there will be praising technology as bringing us more comfort and ease to our lives. But what are the side effects? No doubt technology is great and bring us closer together and communication now is at our hand. I'm typing my blog here also because of the advancement of technology. I'm not denying it.

Only realize it today when i went out dinner after work and my phone is not functioning well. Do not know why my w910i does not ring nor vibrate. It happen before a few days ago when i was in office. The phone disfunctioned and shut down by itself. It happen again yesterday when i went out dinner after work and my dear is unable to get hold of me. She worried about me and i did not know she called so many time until i get back home and realize my phone is off. Of coz she's angry.

Then i realize that we rely on technology too much. When technology is not functioning then we might not function also. It reminds me of the time when i'm young my house do not have a phone and we have to share the phone at my grandparents house next door. Whenever there is a call they will shout for us and we have to run over to my grandpa house to answer the call. Still remember the phone number 805467.

Was wondering how things can be so peaceful and not much people argue about appointment or getting hold of a person. Now with mobile phone seems like there is more arguement compared to last time. Does this make us more civilize?? Are we thinking more rationally with technology in our hands? We have lesser crime rates last time and life is more peaceful. Now we have news as crazy as getting divorce using SMS and dismiss from work using SMS.

Are we advancing together with technology or are we moving backwards. Technology might be advancing but our mind might not be advancing as fast. Was watching Galatica yesterday and the series is about clones taking over humankind. It might happen to us if technology is advancing faster then our minds and attitude. Don't be to dependent on technology. We did survive when the technology is not that advance compared to now. We're exercising lesser now also as people are spending more time at Starbucks online compared to jogging at the park.

I was wrong today coz did not think of calling my dear till i was back home. It was my mind that breakdown not the technology. Sorry my dear. Happy traveling to Beijing. Cya

Fish SPA

Tried Balinese SPA, Thai Massage but Fish SPA??? saw this a few months ago at Jusco Bukit Raja but did not tried it. Actually do not know anything about this also. But recieved an email from a friend regarding fish SPA and just glance through it. Just tried Fish SPA recently and it's actually not bad.

Was at Tesco Extra Seberang Jaya to check out some products on sales at the outlet recently and found that this shop which offer fish SPA. There were no customers when me and John went in as i think many were too afraid to try it. The PIC there explain to us that the fish bite will trigger something like electricity to our body and at the same time clean all the dead skin from our leg. Lucky me who just came back from Hong Kong with all the dead skin at my leg from the long walk there.

Actually it was quite nice and you can see all the fish surrounding your leg and biting your leg. We left the shop after 20 minutes with a charge of RM24 for 2 person which i feel is reasonable. The shop were packed with customers when we left. Think they just needed someone to initiate the first move for others to try. The outlet is at Tesco Extra Ground Floor opposite the jewellery shop.

Work vs Family

Was shock this morning coz recieved a call from one of my salesrep weeping asking for 1 week leave. Her sis at a tender age has took her own life. Very sad for her and shock at the same time. Anyway hope that she can rest in peace now.

Was reading one of my friends blog. There is this artical about how we should balance between work and family. Brought me back to the time when i was at Uni. In AIESEC we always conduct interview and one of my favourite question is asking them to prioritize Friends, Family, Studies and AIESEC.

Till now i'm still asking myself the same question. My dear will always ask me this question work more important or she's more important. And my dear of coz your are more important. I work also because of you. hahahah......sorry lar dear readers (paiseh....paiseh). But sometime i tend to get carried away with my work as i felt that it's my responsibility. Responsibility is something that you have commit = promise. So your work is your promise vs family.

If you put it like that then it's all different from Work vs Family. I'm someone who kept my word. So my responsibility is very important for me. I feel that if i neglect my responsibility then many family will suffer. But not till sacrificing my own family. So we have to find the balance between work and family. To me both is important. My responsibility to my salesrep as they have family too and also my family support is equally important. Sound confused huh....

Conclusion, it's how u manage your work.

Work -> Salary -> Family (Happy) -> Support -> Perform in work
Work -> No Time -> Family (Unhappy) -> Arguement -> affect performance in work

The best
Work -> Salary/Managed time -> Happy Family -> Support -> Perform in work.

Now really confused. Okie. Lets face it, we have to work to support our family, just that how we manage our time and fulfill our responsibility to our family and work. TIME MANAGEMENT. To me both equally important.

Transfering to KL

Finally the news is comfirmed that i'll be transfering to KL. I'll be joining the Maggi team. It's something that i've expected for months and finally the speculation came true. Was excited at first that finally i'm going to KL and can be near with my dear. But when i sit down and think of the journey that i've gone through in Chin Heng, i felt reluctant to go. Even went to negotiate with my boss to let me stay for another year.

Major changes will happen to the branch as many people will be transfered. Ezan will be at Johor separating the drinking group everywhere. Kinda sad actually. But then again my new task will be challenging. Maggi is a growing brand and i'll have to make sure that it keep growing. So to all my friends take more Maggi products okie. Support a bit la.

Buying a new car as i felt that the old one is a bit run down. Getting a Nissan Sentra manual as i dun like auto car. Dunno y just like to control the car with manual shifting and not the auto one. 1 more month to go before my transfer and hoping to get my car before the transfer.

Thanks alot to Chin Heng team as the 4 years with the team is truly a memorable one. How we try to hit our target every month end and to close the sales and also all the fun and laughter in the sales office will always be in my heart. Thanks You and hope to be back to work with you'll again in the future.

My Macau - Hong Kong Trip

Just came back from my trip a few days ago. It was a nice trip. Really different from the first trip to Hong Kong. This time lots of walking and road side food. Arrive at Macau and straight away took a turbo jet to Hong Kong. Arrive at Hong Kong and bought the Octopus card which is very very useful throughout the trip. Its similiar with our Touch n Go but more advance. It's the wises choice that we've made in the trip. But the room at Hong Kong were a little small. Okie for us who's just sleeping over at night and touring in the day.

Whole trip i think Lantau Island is the nicest. With the Buddha Statue on sight giving everyone the calmness and also had vegetarian food there.



After Hong Kong We move to Macau to finish our trip. The casino there was really marvelous. It's like 3 or 4 Genting Highland there in Macau and the Casino there is not as crowded as the one in Genting. The size of one casino is so huge that we can't find our way out in the Venetian. Really a must visit casino in Macau.

My Birthday

Been a while since i last blog. Many things has happen. Celebrated my birthday recently by taking 2 days leave. Spend some times with the kids and also my Dear. Most memorable one was when we went to AEON Bukit Tinggi for movie. The kids wanted to watch WALL.E. It was a last minutes plan and we went there unprepared. The 2 kids were without their sweater and were cold like hell in the cinema. Luckily my dear was there with her vest to keep one warm and i have to hug the other one to keep him warm.

WALL.E was a great movie. telling us how to cherish what we have now and to preserve it for the future. And refreshing the meaning of LOVE. I enjoyed the movie very much.

Also bought a handphone for my birthday....sponsored by my gf. Thanks dear, it's a W910i SonyErricson. The function is just okie but the camera is only 2mp and without flash. That's the only complaint i have with the phone. The 3.5G was great but my gf doesn't carry a 3G phone. So no point. Special about this phone is it's shake function. Anyway it's a nice phone. Got some theme from mobile 9.

But still keeping my O2. Okie la signing off now. Cya.

Updates

Been a while since i last post a blog. This is coz i've move out of my house and now staying at BM. Renting a room from Ezan and just got my wireless broadband up. So whaz up lately.....just finish Nescafe Tarik at Billion Seberang Jaya and got a few project cancel due to lack of manpower.

Bad news is that my health had deteriorate. Doctor advice me to go for surgery after i went clinic for fever. Weird. My tonsils are swollen and have to remove it as it will affect my breathing. Will plan for the surgery in early August. Coz need to close sales first.

Been doing some catching up with old friend from secondary school and we're actually planning a gathering coming Dec. Hopefully all will goes well as i heard some are big shot now. Can't wait for the gathering. Anyway will update when i have more things to write.....kinda brain death now....

HOW HEALTHY ARE YOU?

As usual before our Branch Sales Meeting we'll have our hiking. Last month my time was 29min but this month i've improved my time to 17min. Then it was followed by Rachel's farewell. She'll be joining the TESCO team. All the best Rach.....the farewell dinner was simple and nice. We're asked to fast after the dinner coz we're having a blood test the following day before the BSM.

I was tested normal for my blood sugar content.....so not diabetic.....heheheh....am glad to hear that. The learning from this test that i've gain is that we might not really know ourself that well. Those who say that they know themselves is that of only attitude and surface but not what that's inner. Meaning health. HOW HEALTHY ARE YOU??.

Sad news were also convey to us that one of our colleague from FSBU was admitted to hospital because of diabetic. It was indeed a very sad news to us. So the test cme timely for us to take precaution steps before our health got worse. It not only that we take care our health for ourself but also for our love ones.

So for those out there PLEASE GO FOR HEALTH CHECK !!!

I was one person we does not believe in taking care of my health last time. I use to tell my friends that how much we eat and how much we live is already fated. So eat as much as u can and enjoy as much as you can before anything happen. This reflect me back to the first blog that Zainal told me about the ship heading to it's destination....It's that we must have some moderation in our life so that we can enjoy more a balance.

Already move in to BM staying with Ezan. Hopefully it's for the good and i can save some money coz it's crucial time now that we change our lifestyle to face the challenging time ahead.

Still unabe to upload my wanton pic coz can't seems to get the laptop working properly. Anyway will keep trying till i get it done.

Back Online....

My com was down for the past week coz was infected by virus. Total wipe out all my file and couldn't manage to retrieve my file. so now am back. Worst thing is that i did not read the user manual for my lenovo laptop and couldn't find the recovery cd for my laptop. So now i'm using a lenovo laptop with a compaq setting. Weird....

But couldn't care much as long as i can online.....wanted to blog about my wanton quest even before my laptop got into ICU.....just to share some pic on my wanton session....it was in the weekend when i have nothing to do and have this urge to eat wanton. So i wrap my own wanton to fried.

Now i have to find all the program that i ahve previously to recover my laptop to it's old prime.

MAGGI Cukup Rasa Challenge

Yesterday we had a direct sales project at Bagan Ajam Wet Market and the challenge of the day is to break the sales record which was previously held by PGEL. My target was to achieve higher then that sales and we brought more for the direct sales. Pretty confident that we're gonna sell all the stock but can only sold most of it from 7-11am. And at the end the Chairman of the wet market came and buy everything from us. Thus we achieved the sales we wanted and now hold the sales record.
