Adventurous trip back to KL

Just reach KL about an hour ago. Took me 7 hour to reach. Normally will only take me 4 hour. Was trying to be adventurous this trip as i try using the back way to come back to KL. Spend nearly 4 hour just to reach Kuala Kangsar. Then i continue from Kuala Kangsar to Ipoh which took me quite sometime. Along the way i went through lots of places which i have not been before. Places like Valdor, Bagan Serai, Parit, Klebang, Manong, Chemor and lots more. Wanted to continue my journey till KL but was cut short coz i reach a dead end at Kampung Poh near to Bidor.

The road sign show and arrow to Kuala Lumpur but i drove till the was road for only one car. Then i realise that i was at the wrong road and it was already dark. Drove back to Bidor exit and continue the rest of my journey using the PLUS highway. it was quite fun to drive through all those kampung and some to my surprise were quite develop. Places like Kampar, they even have a TESCO hyper there. Road isn't that bad either and just the traffic is a bit slow coz of the lorries.

The most surprising was at Parit when i was on my way to Penang. Couldn't imagine that there are still places which is so Kampung as Parit. Houses there are tha of the traditional malay house and still you can see kids running around with sticks without shirt. It's now a rare view if i have not drove through there. To me they have not been to the city and are still so pure. What is in their mind is only to have fun. Whereas those kids in the city will be more demanding. They would want transformer and power ranger.

Still remember when i was young, i will use my wooden ruller and some rubber band to tie it up and use what they use to call 'buah ceri' to shoot at people. We also use to draw lines in the beach to play 'kahlitui' (galah panjang). Another one of my favourite was one leg where you chase people with one leg. AEIOU, Pepsi Cola, tepuk card, guli and eraser fight ( i still have a box of eraser with country flags). But now you do not see the kids playing this anymore. All they play is gameboy, PSP, Wii and computer games.

Education is also the craze for parents who forcess their kids to study. As now everything is a challenge for them. They must not loose out. It's no longer about their kids but it's about themself. Pity the kids now and everything that they do must be compared with the cousin or their friends. Theyy have lost their freedom to do the things they like. Unlike the kkids i saw at the kampung. They are so happy and so free. Just hope that the MOE can come up with something to bring back this game to the kids. instead giving them a ball to kick they should instead learn the traditional game to keep themself fit.

Sales Division Roadshow

woThe whole month of July, i have to attend roadshow. Starting from Central till Sabah. The KL Roadshow is held at Allson Klana, Seremban and East Coast is held at Swiss Garden, Kuantan. This are the 2 roadshow which we have mix grading. Think that the Seremban one wasn't that good and we made up in Kuantan. Next will be Southern at Avillion Legacy, Melaka. Hope that things goes well there.

Throughout this Roadshow, i have met alot of people. People who are famous and some stars. People like Lewis Pragasam and Diana. Where i met them during the preparation for MIDI launch at Kuantan. Lewis was a great drummer in ASIABEAT who i use to watch during my teenage year and Diana who i voted for in the Project Superstar2....i was hoping she would win at that time. It ws truly a great journey at HOU as i was given the opportunity to meet so many people. Here i attached MIDI Launch at Kuantan.

Along our life we will meet someone who is special in our life. Your Love ones, someone you adore and most importantly someone who touches your heart. Meeting Lewis that day really reminds me of the day where i was working as a banquet staff at Rasa Sayang Resort. We're a;ways excited every New Year eve when ASIABEAT will perform at the hotel. Listening to Lewis play that day reminds me of my friends, the fun time i spend there and most important is bringing back the memories that i have long forgotten. It'll be great if you can sit down and find some time to call your long lost friends and talk to them.

Wedding......Ching & Teong Part 1

Attended my dears brother wedding. Was quite a learning experience for me as i've learn alot about the chinese customs. From what you must bring to the preparation till the post wedding and all the stuff involve. It was actually quite fun. The not fun part is that i have to attend KL Branch Mid Year Roadshow the next day.

The photographer there was also kind enough to share some photography tips with me. He also did a great Video of the whole proccess. Very much recommended to hire him for future plans. His name is Kent Tan.....

Attached some photo i took during the wedding. Enjoy.

This is the car that was use to take the couple around. Decorated with Mickey and Miney mouse at the front. Quite cute.

The grooms father ushering the groom to his car ........ on the way to fetch his bride.

A happy family seeing the groom off to fetch his bride. On the basket that the sister is holding is some oranges and a pork ribs. Its a chinese custom to have the pork ribs there.

The sister presenting the basket to the brides family

Awaiting the bride at the bride house. This is before the battle of the sister and the brothers start.

The groom and his brother have to go through some task from the bride and her sister before being allowed to go in and fetch the bride. Task awaiting the groom and his brother 'Heng Tai' is usually that of sweet, sour, spicy and bitter.

After going through all those task. Groom are being allowed into the house...with a price 'ang pau'

Groom will then have to knock on the brides door and will have to sing a song or express his love before entering the room.

Finally they will meet in the room and the groom will bring the bride back to his house.
Asking permission from the brides grandparents and parents before taking her home.

Reaching the grooms house.

Greeting the groom parent and getting their permission to enter the house.

Photo session with the kids at the room.

The tea ceremony is a must in chinese customs as it signify the respect to the elderly.

Bride getting a ring from the grooms grandparents.

And last but not least the tea ceremony with the grooms parent.

All this ceremony will happen before the dinner where all family and friends will come together to wish the new couple well. I was assigned to take as much photo as possible during the dinner.....will share with you the dinner photo in my next blog. .......to be continue.......
