in the midst of finalising ARA 2010. have to look at lots of figure. We have finalise the direction of the BU but the main figure now have to be broken up into channel and also category. Am working on Version 15 and still it's not finalise yet. Am having headache with figures now.
There are rumours stating that i'll be transfered to KL branch as an ABM handling Seremban but nothing had materialise till now. Guess i'll be staying at MAGGI for another year till a new career path is set for me. Actually i was being approach for this position but i've softly turn down the offer hoping that i'll get my promotion at my current position.
Althought its a challenging at my current position now, but i feel a sense of belonging working in the BU. I feel i'm contributing. I feel satisfied. Things that money can't buy. But then again sometime u need rewards and recognition to keep you motivating. Hopefully the reward will come soon and i shall get what i've been working for so long.
Along the path of 2009 i've made some constructive decision and also made some decision which i do not agree with. i've also learn that Managing your job is actually all about managing people. And people is the hardest thing to manage, not your job.
Going back to conving many parties to agree with the figures tomorrow. Have to sell my plan.....FIGURES.....

Flashback to my CHEESE
Times at HOU is kinda of stable now. And guess i'm getting use to it. Its always the learning and the adjustment part that is hard. Learning everything from the scratch.
Remember the book that my boss ask me to read last time ' Who Move My Cheese' about 2 mice and 2 little ppl with different perception on changes. One would like to be at his comfort zone and the other moving on in search of his new CHEESE. Guess i'm the one in search of my new CHEESE. i guess i've found my CHEESE and now feeling abit comfortable. Should i move on or stay where i'm comfortable now. Till when should i move on? Should we not stop when we're comfortable?
To me we should stop when we attain what we aim for. To some the comfort zone is what they aim for. So it's not wrong to stop when you're comfortable coz the world is so big and its impossible to be at the top of the world. Is Bill Gates still searching or is he stopping?
Reading back my old posting at this blog and i realise that i misses my comfort zone so much. Guess i'm kinda tired searching and disappointed with what i've found. Life in HOU is lonely. You have to work for yourself and sometime eat alone which was not the case last time. I used to have friends all around me and we enjoy drinking and partying. My last party was at the roadshow with my old colleague.
To me i've yet to attain what i wanted to achieve in my search yet. So i'm not stopping. Hope that i can achieve what i want and be back to the comfort zone which i enjoy very much.

Guinness Arthurs Day - Feat. Black Eye Peas
Was at the Arthurs Day celebration at Sunway KL last Friday. My dear wanted to go so much coz Black Eye Peas will be performing. So i follow and actually enjoy myself there. There is about 30k plus crowd there and was really cramp and crowded. I was not feeling at ease at first. But then with the line up such as Manhand, Joe Fizzlow, Caprice, Reshmonou and artist from Taiwan MC Hotdog really heat things up before the appearance from Black Eye Peas.
The performance was great but not as good as the records of coz but the music arrangement was really great. It got he crowd crazy. Everyone was jumping around dancing. Local artist performance was great but still lacking on their arrangement and connection with the crowd. Only experience performer like MC Hotdog got the crowd going but was addressing the crowd in mandarin and most of the crowd do not understand what he's saying.
Black Eye Peas performance was great and they know how to connect with the crowd. Really enjoy the show The final song was of coz their current hit ' I Gotta Feeling'. And they actually perform all their song on stage. Bringing back all the feeling and moments and memories i had that goes with the song. Mydear also enjoy herself very much but she's not so fimiliar with the local music scene so she did not know what was going on at first coz do not know the local artist at the stage performing. But she really enjoy herself when Black Eye Peas was performing.
I used to hate going to such concert coz its too crowded. And i think i still hate the Crowded scene. But i actually enjoy the music that night. Starting from MC Hotdog and Black Eye Peas coz they really connect with the crowd. Might be looking forward for another concert. Heard that Beyonce will be in town soon.
Support Local Music and Enjoy listening to the international artist. Will upload some clips from the concert once i have my cable. Forgot to bring back from Penang.
.
Cheers

Where to have a nice dinner at KL???
In the organising committee for WINA 2010 and am given the responsibility to organise the Dinner. Am looking for a nice place to host our guest from various country. Was browsing in the net for some nice place to bring this 130pax for a nice dinner at KL which can show them the culture and something that represent Malaysia.
Few place that i've browse through
1. Tasik Putrajaya - There is a cruise there that is available to be chartered for function. Look very nice as Putrajaya will represent MALAYSIA as a centre of Governance.
2. KL Tower - Lots of people recommend this place as it has nice night view of KL. And next to KL Tower is the Twin Tower which is a Landmark that represent Malaysia.
3. Saloma - A place where they have cultural show and also serve authentic Malaysian Cuisine. Malaysian food for Dinner. Might be a good representation of Malaysia.
Will have to decide which one Best represent Malaysia.

Today is a Battle
Kinda tired today as i have to attend meeting the whole day. It feel like that you are in a battle against time. Preparing presentation at the last minute and so many call to attend to and issue to solve. Feel very tired and wanted to go off early. But then there are so many thing to do and so many more problem to solve.
It was about 8pm that i wanted to go off office when the agency called informing me that there are still things not arrived at the event venue tomorrow. Have to drive all the way from my office to Subang to ractify the issue. And when i went into the outlet for a short market visit. Many thing wasn't right at the outlet. We've sponsored the event and spend so much that they didn't even gave us a proper display. Was very disappointed.
To make things worse my dear was angry when i'm back home coz i came back very late. What a day. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow.
You just have to strive to hold on to it and never give up in what you do. It'll keep you going. We talk about passion in our work. Does work like that make you passionate? But there is always something that makes you hold on to it. Money? Rank? or opportunity? As for me i feel proud to be an achiever. I feel good when the event i run is to be recognise. I guess for me that is my passion for my job. Everyone has their own goals.

Bangkok Trip Comments
Just came back from Bangkok. It's a nice trip with my friends at Thailand and my love one around. Overall the trip isn't that bad.....a few nice places to go and a few bad experience.
Recomended place to go :
Chatuchak market which is the largest market in Asia. Platinum wholesale mall for the girls to shop for their bags, dress and shoes. In Love restaurant which has a beautiful view. Health Land Massage at sathorn road is where all the professional masseuir are. Dream World Park will make you feel like a kid again. Four Face Buddha which i did not get to go.

Not Recomended:
Taking Tuk Tuk at Bangkok where they will take you elsewhere for their own benefit. So called Lucky Buddha which is a fake where they will pursuade you to buy the so called Buddha Heart at a jewellery shop. Both are linked to the same scam which will take you to the same shop. Forgot the name of the shop think it start with a Y.....

Overall not bad especially the massage which is a must go. Will be going there again next year May 12. Will keep everyone updated. For photo can visit myspace.
Cheers and Thanks to Mod and Ying for taking me around Bangkok and My GF and both her sis and her husband for the trip arrangement. It was a nice trip and a great Birthday gift.

My Birthday at Bangkok
Celebrated my most memorable birthday at Bangkok this year. My gf had actually planned a trip to Bangkok on my birthday so to celebrate it with me. But the special thing about my birthday is the surprise that both my Nestle colleague from Thailand gave me. Thanks alot to Ying and Mod for making my birthday this year so memorable.
It did not cross my mind that both of them were at the airport waiting for me to arrive just to give me a surprise on my birthday. Had actually emailed them my schedule almost 6 months ago and did not expect that they will still remember that i'm going to Bangkok for my holiday. It as truely a surprise for me to see them at the arrival hall. Spend 2 days with both of them and they are so kind to take me and my gf with her sis and her sis husband around for 2 days. It was really timely as 4 of us do not know where to go to at Bangkok. Ying and Mod had actually save the day.
Taking us to places like Chak tu Chak market and Dream World. Was really great. Spending 2 of their rest day just to take us for site seeing and also for shopping. It really touches my heart that they did all that for someone who they only met once in a workshop.
Day 1
Surprise pick up by Mod and Ying at the airport and then we proceed to the hotel for check-in. We then went to Jusco for a Japanese Buffet at Oishi. Food there was great and the variety was more then what i can find in Malaysia. We then proceed to Cha tu Chak market which we spend most of our time shopping at the market. According to Mod we only cover 8% of the market. Cha Tu Chak Market is Asia biggest market. We then proceed to some temple and Sao Ching Cha. We then had our dinner at Love restaurant which has a very beautiful view. All ended with a heavy rain which i think flooded most part of Bangkok. Last stop Health Land massage which was really good.
Mod and Ying came and pick us up at 10am, where we headed to Dream World. Ying actually negotiated a better rate for us to enter Dream World. I was told by Mod that Ying told the Dream World management that i will be working in Nestle Thailand next month and they gave us the discount. At Thailand our Nestle name tag can sometime serve as a discount card. Something new i learn. Spend the whole day at Dream World and Ying took some good photo. Had our dinner at a chinese restaurant where they have to shout when serving the Noodles. Quite cool.
Wanted to go to the four face Buddha at town but was cheated to go to an old temple called Lucky Buddha and then a jewelry shop claiming to sell The Buddha Heart. Luckily we did not spend any money there. Ended up shopping at Platinum Wholesale Mall the whole day. Went back to Health Land for our second massage of the trip and Mod joined us for the massage. We then proceed for dinner with Y and Mod who brought us to this fine dining restaurant. It was a great dinner.
Day 4
Nothing much but packing to go back. Tried to make a second attempt to go to the Four Face Buddha but again the tuk tuk wanted to take us to the jewelry shop. We were smart enough to reject it this time.
Overall is was a great and surprising trip for me. And was great to strengthen my friendship with Ying and Mod. Thanks alot to both of you. And not to forget My lovely GF and her sis who made the arrangement to celebrate my birthday with me. Hope she'll get well soon as she's a bit tired and sick after the trip. And for all who wishes me at Facebook and Friendster, thanks alot for the wishes. I know that it's the technology that reminded you but it's your effort to wish me that means alot to me. Thanks. And to my dearest GF do get well soon my dear.....

Adventurous trip back to KL
Just reach KL about an hour ago. Took me 7 hour to reach. Normally will only take me 4 hour. Was trying to be adventurous this trip as i try using the back way to come back to KL. Spend nearly 4 hour just to reach Kuala Kangsar. Then i continue from Kuala Kangsar to Ipoh which took me quite sometime. Along the way i went through lots of places which i have not been before. Places like Valdor, Bagan Serai, Parit, Klebang, Manong, Chemor and lots more. Wanted to continue my journey till KL but was cut short coz i reach a dead end at Kampung Poh near to Bidor.
The road sign show and arrow to Kuala Lumpur but i drove till the was road for only one car. Then i realise that i was at the wrong road and it was already dark. Drove back to Bidor exit and continue the rest of my journey using the PLUS highway. it was quite fun to drive through all those kampung and some to my surprise were quite develop. Places like Kampar, they even have a TESCO hyper there. Road isn't that bad either and just the traffic is a bit slow coz of the lorries.
The most surprising was at Parit when i was on my way to Penang. Couldn't imagine that there are still places which is so Kampung as Parit. Houses there are tha of the traditional malay house and still you can see kids running around with sticks without shirt. It's now a rare view if i have not drove through there. To me they have not been to the city and are still so pure. What is in their mind is only to have fun. Whereas those kids in the city will be more demanding. They would want transformer and power ranger.
Still remember when i was young, i will use my wooden ruller and some rubber band to tie it up and use what they use to call 'buah ceri' to shoot at people. We also use to draw lines in the beach to play 'kahlitui' (galah panjang). Another one of my favourite was one leg where you chase people with one leg. AEIOU, Pepsi Cola, tepuk card, guli and eraser fight ( i still have a box of eraser with country flags). But now you do not see the kids playing this anymore. All they play is gameboy, PSP, Wii and computer games.
Education is also the craze for parents who forcess their kids to study. As now everything is a challenge for them. They must not loose out. It's no longer about their kids but it's about themself. Pity the kids now and everything that they do must be compared with the cousin or their friends. Theyy have lost their freedom to do the things they like. Unlike the kkids i saw at the kampung. They are so happy and so free. Just hope that the MOE can come up with something to bring back this game to the kids. instead giving them a ball to kick they should instead learn the traditional game to keep themself fit.

Sales Division Roadshow
woThe whole month of July, i have to attend roadshow. Starting from Central till Sabah. The KL Roadshow is held at Allson Klana, Seremban and East Coast is held at Swiss Garden, Kuantan. This are the 2 roadshow which we have mix grading. Think that the Seremban one wasn't that good and we made up in Kuantan. Next will be Southern at Avillion Legacy, Melaka. Hope that things goes well there.
Throughout this Roadshow, i have met alot of people. People who are famous and some stars. People like Lewis Pragasam and Diana. Where i met them during the preparation for MIDI launch at Kuantan. Lewis was a great drummer in ASIABEAT who i use to watch during my teenage year and Diana who i voted for in the Project Superstar2....i was hoping she would win at that time. It ws truly a great journey at HOU as i was given the opportunity to meet so many people. Here i attached MIDI Launch at Kuantan.
Along our life we will meet someone who is special in our life. Your Love ones, someone you adore and most importantly someone who touches your heart. Meeting Lewis that day really reminds me of the day where i was working as a banquet staff at Rasa Sayang Resort. We're a;ways excited every New Year eve when ASIABEAT will perform at the hotel. Listening to Lewis play that day reminds me of my friends, the fun time i spend there and most important is bringing back the memories that i have long forgotten. It'll be great if you can sit down and find some time to call your long lost friends and talk to them.
