Adventurous trip back to KL

Just reach KL about an hour ago. Took me 7 hour to reach. Normally will only take me 4 hour. Was trying to be adventurous this trip as i try using the back way to come back to KL. Spend nearly 4 hour just to reach Kuala Kangsar. Then i continue from Kuala Kangsar to Ipoh which took me quite sometime. Along the way i went through lots of places which i have not been before. Places like Valdor, Bagan Serai, Parit, Klebang, Manong, Chemor and lots more. Wanted to continue my journey till KL but was cut short coz i reach a dead end at Kampung Poh near to Bidor.

The road sign show and arrow to Kuala Lumpur but i drove till the was road for only one car. Then i realise that i was at the wrong road and it was already dark. Drove back to Bidor exit and continue the rest of my journey using the PLUS highway. it was quite fun to drive through all those kampung and some to my surprise were quite develop. Places like Kampar, they even have a TESCO hyper there. Road isn't that bad either and just the traffic is a bit slow coz of the lorries.

The most surprising was at Parit when i was on my way to Penang. Couldn't imagine that there are still places which is so Kampung as Parit. Houses there are tha of the traditional malay house and still you can see kids running around with sticks without shirt. It's now a rare view if i have not drove through there. To me they have not been to the city and are still so pure. What is in their mind is only to have fun. Whereas those kids in the city will be more demanding. They would want transformer and power ranger.

Still remember when i was young, i will use my wooden ruller and some rubber band to tie it up and use what they use to call 'buah ceri' to shoot at people. We also use to draw lines in the beach to play 'kahlitui' (galah panjang). Another one of my favourite was one leg where you chase people with one leg. AEIOU, Pepsi Cola, tepuk card, guli and eraser fight ( i still have a box of eraser with country flags). But now you do not see the kids playing this anymore. All they play is gameboy, PSP, Wii and computer games.

Education is also the craze for parents who forcess their kids to study. As now everything is a challenge for them. They must not loose out. It's no longer about their kids but it's about themself. Pity the kids now and everything that they do must be compared with the cousin or their friends. Theyy have lost their freedom to do the things they like. Unlike the kkids i saw at the kampung. They are so happy and so free. Just hope that the MOE can come up with something to bring back this game to the kids. instead giving them a ball to kick they should instead learn the traditional game to keep themself fit.
